GRT fare increase hits low-income riders the hardest (CBC)

On Monday, the cost of a batch of bus tickets went up by ten percent. Oscar Cole-Arnal with the Alliance Against Poverty explains how the increase will hurt those who are already vulnerable.

Prior to this interview, AAP worked with members of PMUS (Poverty Makes Us Sick) to launch a Transit Access 4 All campaign, and collected over 200 signatures on a petition against the bus fare increases. AAP will be speaking on this issue at the next Regional Council meeting.
